In-home medical provider Dispatch Health is teaming up with AdventHealth, one of the nation’s largest faith-based health systems, to offer expanded home-based care to residents in the Kansas City metro area and several Florida cities.

The partnership will allow AdventHealth patients to get acute medical care for complex  injuries and illnesses including viral infections, COPD, congestive heart failure and Crohn’s Disease.

“Many healthcare providers have a strong desire to deliver home-based care, and DispatchHealth can provide a proven platform to quickly extend care outside of the typical clinical and hospital setting,” said Mark Prather, CEO and co-founder of DispatchHealth.

The service will be available to patients in Daytona Beach, Ocala and Orlando, as well as Kansas City. The partnership is an expansion of current operations in Tampa where the two companies have already been working together to provide in-home care.

Patients can access care via phone or through DispatchHealth’s mobile app or website.

DispatchHealth has been scaling up its in-home care model across the U.S. The company recently announced a $200 million Series D round of funding to help with expansion plans.
