Susan Diamond will step
into the Humana CFO
role later this year.

Louisville-based Humana disclosed on Monday that Susan Diamond, its home care division leader, will become the company’s chief financial officer when Brian Kane steps down from the position later this year.

Diamond will assume the role less than two years after being named segment president of Humana Inc.’s Home Business . She also led the transition following the insurance and health services company’s acquisition of Kindred at Home, the largest home health company in the United States.  

Diamond joined Humana in 2006 as a strategic adviser for investment and acquisition opportunities and was Humana’s senior vice president of Medicare before heading its Home Business. She will serve as interim chief financial officer on June 1. Kane said he is leaving to “pursue broader career goals.”
