Andrea Devoti always has tried to give back for the educational opportunities she was provided by enabling such opportunities for others.

In addition to teaching classes at West Chester University, she was a mentor and provided clinical supervision to students seeking their master’s degrees. She also was a liaison for doctoral students at James Mason University for the three years preceding the pandemic.

Due to Devoti’s knowledge of the long-term care industry, others who work in the field frequently seek to learn from her. In a sign of how highly regarded and respected she is, the members of a graduating nursing class at Bryn Mawr Hospital asked her to be their graduation speaker.

She now is serving on the advisory committee of the Vision Centre, which has a goal to create 25 higher education programs to prepare future generations of leaders and to facilitate 1,000 paid internships from those programs by 2025. Over the course of her career, Devoti has been a nurse, an agency CEO and a board member and chair. Her portfolio of responsibilities at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, where she now is executive vice president, is broad.

She has spoken at numerous NAHC annual conferences as well as to members of the American Case Management Association. In 2017, she worked with ACMA to develop guidelines for case management and transitions of care

She formerly was president and CEO of Neighborhood Health Agencies, a home care and hospice provider in Southeast Pennsylvania, for 19 years. Devoti is a past president and served on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Homecare Association.

Devoti is a role model to many women and has advanced the careers of many individuals in the industry by sharing her knowledge and championing up-and-comers.
