As an award-winning, senior-level real estate professional with a background in architecture and a passion for the elderly, Morgan C.B. Miles continues to be recognized for her achievements and contributions.

Miles is readily described as “equipped with the necessary skills” to “make a substantial impact in the ever-changing senior living industry,” by colleague Ryan Johnson, a real estate director at New Jersey Community Capital. She joined Baltimore-based Brightview Senior Living in January 2021 to pursue her interest in the development of senior living communities.

Morgan was nominated and selected as a McKnight’s Women of Distinction Rising Star when she was the development director at Brightview, where she led new pipeline efforts in the mid-Atlantic region and managed land acquisition and development projects totaling more than $200 million. She has since left the company for another opportunity.

Before her time at Brightview, Miles was the senior manager of development for Strategic Property Partners, where she oversaw luxury residential buildings and neighborhood developments in Tampa, FL. She also was responsible for all aspects of the nine time award-winning $194 million hotel development of North America’s first Canopy by Hilton and DC’s first Hyatt House.

During her undergraduate years at the University of Virginia, Miles joined the Adopt-a-Grandparent program to pursue her interest in helping older adults. Through this program, she spent time building such strong relationships with elderly residents of a Charlottesville nursing home, she continued in the program on her own after graduation.

Now, Miles is a trusted adviser and mentor to many rising industry leaders, as well as students in architecture, real estate and finance, according to Johnson.

“Morgan sees the potential in others and encourages them to follow their passions, helping individuals understand and maximize the power of their talents,” he noted.

Additionally, Miles is an appointed member of UVA School of Architecture Dean’s Advisory Board, where she focuses on diversity, equity and inclusion; mentorship; and career development initiatives.

Among other activities, Miles volunteers with Adopt-a-Grandparent and participates in senior living industry events, conferences, webinars and other programs.
