Less than two years after it was established, Moving Health Home is affecting change in Washington, DC. The coalition of healthcare providers dedicated to expanding care in the home is concentrating on the growth of three main areas: hospital-at-home, postoperative care in the home and the array of other services now available in the home, such as dialysis, home infusion and personal care services. Krista Drobac, executive director of the organization, talked to McKnight’s Home Care in a Newsmakers podcast about the pandemic’s role in creating the organization, the main challenge the coalition is facing and how Medicare Advantage is helping to support the mission.
