Amazon’s app-based healthcare service for employees, Amazon Care, soon will launch throughout the country, according to a Healthcare IT News report.

Currently, the app connects Washington state-based Amazon employees to providers for primary and urgent care services. For follow-up treatments, such as blood draws, nurses can be dispatched to employees in the Seattle area. Amazon Care reportedly plans to provide telehealth to its employees in all 50 states and may be working with one or two more companies on deals to provide Amazon Care to their employees.

The report follows Amazon’s collaboration with Crossover Health to serve Amazon employees and their families in Dallas; Detroit; Louisville, KY; Phoenix; and San Bernardino, CA. The Crossover Health initiative includes the launch of 17 health centers to provide in-person care. Amazon Care recently joined several other organizations to form a coalition to advance home care policy.
